Cohen's First Week

Well, we just had our first week with Cohen and it was great! It's so weird having a baby in the house now. I can't believe it's finally here. I didn't get much sleep the week, but he's starting to get a little bit of a night pattern, so it's getting better. Unfortunately, Cohen has a little bit of Jaundice and so we have been putting him under Bili lights all week. It's a little suit case with lights and we have to put him in there as much as possible, with a mask over his eyes. It seems to work and then it doesn't. We went to get his blood drawn again today, for the 6th day in a row, so we are hoping that he is finally finished. Poor Guy! Aren't these the saddest pictures you've ever seen? He doesn't like the mask or the lights too much.

Baby Cohen!!!

Yeah!!! Finally, Cohen is here!!! Isn't he the cutest? On Thursday, the 21st, at 9:30 pm, I started getting really bad contractions, so Cody and I decided to go to the hospital. We didn't know if they would turn us away or not, but we wanted to at least try. They decided I was in labor and I was admitted to Davis Hospital around 11:00pm. Cody and I spent the night there and all our family came in the morning. Cody was amazing the whole time! The whole thing wasn't too bad, but I'm so glad he was there by my side. I got an epideral and from there on out, all I felt is numb. I was in labor all day, and after an 1 1/2 hours of pushing, I had little Cohen at 6:50 pm, on May 22nd. He was 7lbs 11oz, and 20 in. long.

Our First Blog!!!

We are happy to present our first blog ever. We have decided that it was time to start a blog, since our little baby Cohen will be here in a few weeks. We are so excited!! We thought it was great that we could look at other people's blogs and see their little families and what they were doing, and we thought it would be great for us as well. We will try to keep it as updated as possible, but try is the key word. The stuff posted on here now are a few things that has been happening lately. Anyhow, happy blogging!

My Baby Shower

I had my combined baby shower on April 4th. My family, my friends, and Cody's family all came, so it ended up being a big event. Here is a picture of myself and some of my friends that came. It was so much fun and it was so great to see everyone!! In this picture I am about 33 weeks along. I am now 37 weeks, so I am a whole lot bigger now. Cohen definitely will not suffer in clothes and toys, that's for sure. I believe we have everything that he needs, plus more. Thanks Everyone!!!

Cody's St. George Bike Race

Cody, his brothers, and his dad, all went down to St. George and did a 30 mile bike race. I believe it's their new obsession. Here are a few pics of the event. I would have loved to do it with them, but being about 8 months pregnant at the time, I didn't think it was a great idea.:)They all did great, but Cody ended up coming in first place, not only of his family, but everyone that did the 30 mile race. I was so proud!!!

Our Baby Room

Cohen's almost here! I am due the 29th of May, so we only have a few more weeks to go. This is a picture of Cody in Cohen's finished room. We love it! We started this room in January, so finally they will actually be a baby in there.
